Elisa Perotti
Photography as a way of understanding transformation.
Each body of work begins with a lived experience that transforms my way of being in the world. Photography becomes a space of inquiry through which lived experience takes shape as image, inviting stillness, contemplation, and a slower way of seeing. Rather than documenting reality, I use photography to explore the relationships that emerge through transformation and the ways perception gradually shifts.
Fields of Light is one expression of this ongoing artistic inquiry. Flowers become a language rather than a subject, through which I explore the dialogue between body and nature, light and matter, presence and absence. Within a black space conceived as a space of possibility, light reveals processes of dissolution, renewal, and becoming. The work invites viewers to contemplate transformation as an open experience, allowing space for personal reflection and meaning.
